Also known as "The Pinocchio Masdevallia, It is a species endemic to Ecuador, where it grows in a cloud forest environment. The inspiration for the name was drawn from the tall, pointed dorsal sepal of this species' flower.

The spikes on this orchid will continue to flower so long as they remain green, so do not cut them off! These plants have several active spikes which should continue to flower into the fall.

Grown in sphagnum moss to ensure adequate moisture and humidity, this is a delightful species to add to the collection!
